Moon Flowers Scarves
These gorgeous scarves are printed with my new Moon Flowers design, inspired by the Nordic flowers staves I have always loved. The background is a golden birchbark and the teals and turquoises set off the mustard yellow beautifully. These scarves are available in a soft, silky satin and a Habotai silk and in three different sizes. These scarf is entirely printed, sewn and manufactured in Canada from domestic and imported materials.
For table covers, Pow wow and Rendezvous, medicine bag scarves and durable headscarves, the satin is slightly more opaque and durable and less susceptible to discolouration due to moisture. It also does not get “runs” like silk will if caught on shard objects. Due to this, the print is lighter than the silk and the reverse side is significantly lighter.
The silk is an imported Japanese Habotai silk that has an elegant, floaty drape. The print shows up more golden than the satin print and the print shows through consistently to the back. These scarves are more suitable for formal attire and gift giving.
The square scarf comes in two sizes, 26x26”, 36x36”.
The long scarf measures 16”x 72” and is more than enough to wear tied, lose or tucked into a blouse or jacket.
